Candace is the proud mother of a sweet, compassionate boy and a darling, very funny little girl! Born and raised in Sugar Land, Texas, Candace made the move to Norman, Oklahoma with her high school sweetheart, now husband, who earned a football scholarship at The University of Oklahoma. While attending college in Oklahoma, Candace studied Psychology. Afterward, the couple returned to their Texas roots, married, and started their own family. Candace’s deep passion for well-informed and empowered childbirth came to the forefront following the birth of her son in 2014. As the founder of Transcendent Birth®, LLC, she has been dedicated to offering unbiased birth doula assistance and parent education to families since 2016.
Candace serves Sugar Land, Katy, The Woodlands, Houston Heights, Memorial, River Oaks, West University, Bellaire, Meyerland, Richmond/Rosenberg, Pearland, Friendswood, Clear Lake, Texas, and Beyond!

Certifications

Candace is a DONA-certified birth doula. DONA International is the leader in evidence-based doula training, certification, and continuing education. Candace has completed DONA’s thorough certification and re-certification processes, as she follows a code of ethics and standards of practice. Candace’s performance as a birth doula has been evaluated and vetted by DONA International.
Candace constantly seeks additional education on how to better support her clients as a doula, through organizations such as Spinning Babies®, and Evidence Based Birth®. Candace is a Professional Member at Evidence Based Birth®, where she receives frequent continuing education on the best practices in the field.”
In 2018, Candace trained under Gail Tully, the visionary behind Spinning Babies®, to become one of the first and only Spinning Babies Certified Parent Educators in the Greater Houston area. As a result of her displayed proficiency, she has earned the privilege to share this fascinating and pertinent wisdom with pregnant parents across the country.
